The Internet of Things and Intelligent Computing Engineering Research Center of Nanchang University is a university-level research platform established by Nanchang University in 2012. It was set up based on the Jiangxi Provincial High-Level Engineering Research Center for Internet of Things and Intelligent Computing—a provincial high-level innovation platform for higher education institutions approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education in 2012. Its purpose is to build a base for technological innovation, talent cultivation, and academic exchange. Aligning with the distinctive characteristics of the university, the center focuses on the construction of the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone and the development of the ten major strategic emerging industries in Jiangxi Province. It conducts scientific research and technological development, strengthens the integration of industry, academia, research, and application, and enhances the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

Through interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation, the center integrates resources from computer science, artificial intelligence, big data, and other related disciplines, promoting cross-disciplinary research and supporting the university in building a "new engineering" research ecosystem. The director of the center is Professor Lin Zhenrong from the School of Mathematics and Computer Science at Nanchang University.
