The High-Level Engineering Research Center for Internet of Things and Intelligent Computing

The High-Level Engineering Research Center for Internet of Things and Intelligent Computing was established in 2012 as a provincial-level high-level innovation platform for higher education institutions in Jiangxi Province, approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education. Its purpose is to build a base for technological innovation, talent cultivation, and academic exchange. Aligning with the characteristics of the university, the center focuses on the development needs of the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone and the ten major strategic emerging industries of the province. It conducts scientific research and technological development, strengthens the integration of industry, university, research, and application, enhances the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, actively contributes to Jiangxi's economic and social development, and strives to make greater contributions to building a prosperous, harmonious, and beautiful Jiangxi.

The primary goal of the High-Level Engineering Research Center for Internet of Things and Intelligent Computing is to promote the rapid and sustainable development of Jiangxi's IoT industry, explore effective integration of technology and industrial applications, and transform resource advantages into innovation and industrial strengths. It actively transfers research and development outcomes into practical applications, with a focus on their adoption by enterprises in Jiangxi. The center aligns with national and provincial medium- to long-term scientific and technological development strategies, targets cutting-edge issues in IoT technology and intelligent computing domestically and internationally, conducts research on key challenges, and achieves landmark original results.

The High-Level Engineering Research Center for Internet of Things and Intelligent Computing focuses on connotative development, with the core objective of enhancing its research capabilities. Through high-quality development, the center provides strong support for the growth of related disciplines within the college and the university, forming a research team with distinct scientific strengths and unique characteristics. This contributes to the university's "Double First-Class" initiative and high-quality development. The center will further promote openness and collaboration, drive the aggregation of research and social service resources, and facilitate the transformation of achievements. It will strengthen cooperation and exchanges with enterprises, leverage the research resources of its team, expand the breadth and depth of collaboration between the center, enterprises, and local entities in research and social services, and effectively pool various scientific research and social service resources.

The center has a well-balanced team of 12 researchers, including 3 professors, 7 associate professors, and 2 lecturers, among whom 5 hold doctoral degrees. The director of the center is Professor Lin Zhenrong from the School of Mathematics and Computer Science at Nanchang University.
