主要从事生物信息学和生物统计方面的研究工作。主持（含完成）国家自然科学基金3项和江西省自然科学基金3项（其中省重点项目1项）。已在Briefings in Bioinformatics、Bioinformatics、Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling等权威期刊发表SCI论文40余篇，授权发明专利2项，以第二完成人荣获2021年度江西省自然科学奖二等奖1项。
